ECDC Virtual Academy (EVA)

ECDC’s Public Health Emergency Operating Plan (PHEOP) and associated Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) were developed during 2011/12, and tested during Exercise BEAIVI in May 2012. The PHEOP and SOPs were revised and updated and this exercise, Exercise ARTEMIS, a functional exercise,  provided a further opportunity to test the functionality and operability of these plans and procedures and ECDC’s management structure during a Public Health Emergency (PHE). It also helped to increase staff knowledge of the PHE concept, procedures and command structures.

The exercise was conducted by Public Health England (formerly the Health Protection Agency).
