Background
Overview: The purpose of this course is to introduce the learners to the knowledge and skills needed for a successful management and facilitation of an After Action Review under the IHR Monitoring and Evaluation Framework following the response to an event of public health concern.
Completion of the Management and Facilitation of an After Action Review (AAR) E-learning course is a prerequisite for enrolling into the After Action Review face-to-face training.
Course duration: Approximately 45 minutes.
Certificates: A Certificate of Completion will be available to those participants who complete the course.

Learning objective: By the end of this course you will be able to:
- Explain the context and the purpose of an AAR;
- Describe the general flow of the AAR process (by using the working group format);
- Distinguish roles and responsibilities of facilitators in the AAR process and describe the techniques for participatory facilitation;
- Indicate the resources available for conducting an AAR and know where to find them
