Case Study Format

This case study is intended for a half day (~4 hours). The participation of representatives from various sectors shall be in place to stimulate one comprehensive discussion.

The case study may be conducted in a conference room or using virtual meeting tools. The participants shall be encouraged to share thoughts and ideas as well as seek information and advice from other colleagues.

The case study is structured into five parts. 

  • Part I - Alert
  • Part II - Rapid Progression of the Outbreak
  • Part III - Outbreak Response
  • Part IV - How can the municipality prepare better for the next outbreak
  • Part V - Epilogue

In this EVA page you will find a package of tools for case study organisers containing:

1. A case study scenario - starting point and setting the scene for the case study. Participants may be given the scenario in advance or time to read at the beginning of the session.

2. Evaluation Form - This is a suggestion of a set of questions to ask case study  participants at the end of the case study to help improve the planning of future case study.

3. Report Template - This document is in MS Word format to facilitate it's further usage to capture the essential elements of the discussion and by it's structure help identify actions for improvement. 

4. Downloadable Handouts - This folder contains a printable version of the case study which can be used as it is i.e. without any adaptations.
