COVID-19 Micro learning 

 

ECDC has produced series of micro learning activities (5-30 minutes) related to COVID-19.

The short e-learning courses provide guidance on the application of non-pharmaceutical countermeasures and include the following:

1. Introduction to COVID-19 NPC

2. Personal protection against COVID-19

3. Environmental countermeasures against COVID-19

4. Social distancing countermeasures against COVID-19

5. Travel related countermeasures against COVID-19

 

NOTE:

These Micro-learning courses are build upon the current knowledge on the SARS-CoV-2 and are based on documents produced by ECDC, WHO and  other  national and international public health bodies.

Dear all,

This is to inform you that the micro learning on environmental countermeasures against COVID-19 has been updated.

This version 2.0 is designed to take 15 minutes, it is based on the ECDC Technical Report on disinfection of environments in healthcare and non-healthcare settings potentially contaminated with SARS-CoV-2 and covers:

  • Evidence of SARS-CoV-2 persistence in surfaces, clothes and objects;
  • Cleaning and disinfecting recommendations for healthcare settings;
  • Cleaning and disinfecting recommendations for non-healthcare settings with presence of COVID-19 positive people;
  • Cleaning and disinfecting recommendations for general settings.

Dear all,

This is to inform you that there is a new micro-learning on the instructions that healthcare workers can give to people who are taking care of a suspected or confirmed case of COVID-19 at home.

This micro-learning is designed to take about 15 minutes to complete. It is based on the ECDC Technical Report on Infection prevention and control in the household management of people with suspected or confirmed coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and covers various infection prevention (IPC) measures:

  • Patient placement and family interactions;
  • Hand hygiene and protection;
  • Respiratory hygiene;
  • Environmental hygiene;
  • Clearing process and household waste management.

Dear all,

This is to inform you that a micro-learning course on "Mother-infant health in the context of COVID-19" has just been published. 

This Micro-learning has been developed in a collaboration of ECDC with Italian National Institute of Health - Istituto Superiore di Sanità, Italy. 

The course covers area such as the mode of transmission including vertical transmission of SARS-CoV-2 and the
guiding principles during the COVID-19 pandemic on: 

·         caring for pregnant women suspected of or with COVID-19.

·         the self-isolation of pregnant women and their partners.

·         handling the pregnant women during childbirth.

·         handling of the mother-baby dyad in the immediate postpartum.

·         breastfeeding and infant feeding.

The course offers additional materials related to the main topic.
